Here is Yorkshire we have had some rain-some belters too. But no storms, it has been warm, even hot-yesterday it was 27 degrees, the greenhouse had 40!

Cooler today, so not too bad.

Here in Bicestershire started off overcast and nice and cool and then got hotter and hotter. Thursday night we had a good storm around 2a.m, must admit as I was having to get up at 4.30 I went back to sleep instead of watching the free show, which I'm told was spectacular :-))

;) Its raining cats and dogs here but I don't mind as I can't go sailing today, all due to the fact that there is a bike race on and the roads in West Byfleet are closed and I can' get to the lake, watching it on telly and it looks like the cyclists are getting a wee bit damp,Ray. ;)

Hi Regiment, must be all about location, at around the time of your entry couldn't see across the road, so much rain, hail and spray just like a fog, very nice this morning though - must try and sleep longer!!!

Today's topic of convo at work is is it  worth takings rain jacket out today. We are due heavy rain showering between 10:00 and 13:00. As it's a bit of a trek to where they parked today's job it's a choice between sweeting to death or getting soaked on the trek back from the ship.

We were very very lucky to get a full display out of the red arrows yesterday. Cloud base way too low all day and then seemed to open up although still pouring down.

Just made it back before the rain hit.
Today's job, 6 month checks on the air con heater control cabinets. Go out to shiney new ship, talk to maintainer to let them know what we are doing and get him to tag them out. Explain yes we know its shiney new but some manager some where's computer says we have to do the job. Agree that think it is stupid but as they just paid off the carrier we lost two months of work so we are doing all the stupid jobs.
Finally agree with the chap and get it in writing that we won't do a full clean, just open up each cab and visually check.
Complete 2 weeks worth of man hours in 2, get back to the workshop just as the rain hits.
Grab coffee and laughs at co works who did not cycle to job and now can be seen getting soaked as they trudge back( HM dockies never run)
