I have received my pond yacht fibreglass hull. Now I have it, I am not going to build it as I am after a different kind of hull to build. :embarrassed:
This one is 34 inches long and 10 inches wide with height of 8 inches. I think it is the type that is used for RC builds and would be a bit too big for an ornament, which I was thinking. This one will not fit on my mantle piece or window sill. lol.

Hi, I dont know the maker or model of it. I was hoping someone on here might recognise it. Cost ? open. I dont know

I got it off ebay, but while I was waiting for it to be delivered, I changed my mind as to what I want to build. If I built this one and used it as I wanted, in my window as an ornament, it would block off a lot of light.

Looks like a model of an old IOR warhorse, perhaps a one tonner. Its got the "bumps" in all the right places.
Something about it reminds me of a C and C.
Nice looking boat.

Thanks for the info. I have just googled it and found a couple of real yacht pics that look just like it in shape. It could possibly be the type.
It is too big for me though. I will not be building it.
I will put it up for sale.. :-)

I understand. It will make someone a fine model.
On further reflection, I think it may be a larger IOR boat, perhaps a 2 tonner, or an IOR 50.

How is it fastened to the stand? Are there holes in the hull?

The stand is meant for a Star SY5 pond yacht. The hull is placed in between the dowels and spread them apart a bit so its sort of clamped in the stand. The stand will be back with the SY 5 when I have restored it and it will be on display on my window sill.
I dont know what the hull is worth, but i have put it up for sale locally for £40.
