Hello all
I'd like to install a working blue light onto my 1/12th Speedline Severn. Not sure if it's a rotating and or flashing one that I need. Any help where to obtain an appropriate one would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

The man you need is Ian Mcraffrey, he sells all sorts of led's, all prewired and resistors installed. Cheap too..

Hello Rich, thanks for that, where do I find Ian?

Another good check are the circuits for model railroads.
There are companies that sell Police, Fire and Ambulance circuits to flash LED for each.

On the cheap, a bicycle flasher with the LED changed to blue would work also.

Model trucks also have them. You could try dedicated shops
In Germany there's Pistenking that offers "self-contained" flashing lights in 1:8, 1:12 and 1:16 scale. Multiple LED to emulate a rotating light.
Here's a demo from a French retailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waFn_0Jsc7M
Not the cheapest but it looks great, is compact and the controller is built-in.
A single flashing light is of course easier to build.

Thank you very much Umi and Calimero, I'll investigate both sources.

I build my rotating lights by myself.
Not so difficult.
You just need 8 wired smd Led and a Mikrocontroller to switch them on and of.
If you are able to solder i could send you a programmed mega8.
You would just have to solder some capacitors on a copper point Pcb.
but let me check tomorrow, maybe I still have an etched Pcb at home.
