Dear Model Boat Mayhem,
I am writing to you on behalf of my company, The Star Tugs Company Ltd. We have owned the collection of known surviving character models from the TV Series - TUGS (similar in concept to Thomas the Tank Engine, produced by the same team - aired around 1989), around 18 in total, since January of this 2014. We have participated in various events throughout 2014 and been featured in Model Boats Magazine’s August issue last month.
The models are currently based at Midland Railway Centre, where we have an exhibition space and have been exhibiting them since March this year. With the series celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, we are planning to hold a special 25th Anniversary Celebration over the weekend of the 27th and 28th of September at Midland Railway Centre.
We are extending invites to nearby Model Boat Clubs to participate and attend our event in September, hopefully to give demonstrations with members’ own models, talks on the hobby, publicity for your own group’s activities and any other involvement that can be offered across the weekend. We hope that members of Model Boat Mayhem will have some interest in attending, and look forward to hearing back from you.
