did anyone see tonight's episode of the world's longest sci fi series with the new retro Dr. and the Daleks...............
I know the BBC are on a cost cutting exercise, but can anyone explain to me why there were half canisters from inflatable liferafts glued to the walls of the inside of the wayward Dalek.................left me a little mystified, lol
-
{-) I noticed that too!
They looked like the Lesro ones.
-
That makes me glad that we can't get the BBC down here in the sunshine!! %%
-
To make it feel more retro!
Apart from that I enjoyed the episode, enjoy the acting not the staging after all isn't that why doctor who is famous for?! ok2
-
Beats me, m'duck - but then again Daleks have been trying to look down the handles of sink plungers for over 50 years, haven't they? I think someone said that the budget for the first Dalek was a tenner.

think they were full sized ones martin............................you could actually read the faint outline on one where an RFD sticker had once been, lol
-
Just thought at least they're not wasting huge amounts of money on creating scenes entirely from scratch and they're probably reusable, any way whose to say daleks aren't made from bits and pieces of household equipment! :}

The TV science fiction programmes have always used normal items in a strange way, to most people who do not know what the items are they look great, to the people who know what they are you say, "why"
As the actors in Blakes 7 walked into the ships control room on the walls were the energy cells, actually they were heat exchanger plates from a company I used to work for, to me these always looked weird, to everyone else ok!

Over half a million hits.............. http://www.projectdalek.co.uk/ (http://www.projectdalek.co.uk/)
There's even a bloke who built a full-size Dalek out of matchsticks - 480,000 of them.
Mad as people who drink their own bathwater or nail jellies to the ceiling.................

Strangely , speaking of DALEKS , we have a full size one that appears at the Wallasey boat clubs RNLI day . . .
This one from This years July event . . . .

Built from a Mobility scooter , it has SERIOUS ATTITUDE when 'collecting' . . . having just 'relieved ' a well known Model Boats Mag ' photographer of the contents of his wallet , it was intent on further 'donations' from one of the club members . . . .
