Does etching primer only come in gray Is there a white as I find my Halford rattle cans spray a darker shade of the colour over any gray First time I've used the etching primer and do notice the difference between it and ordinary primer regards sticking to the job.

Simple really, spray the grey etch primer on first then spray ordinary white primer... The etch primer I have used in the past was pretty thin with little filling ability..

Hi Essex

I think I have that halfords primer ( Its gray) the item number is the same as on the can I have but will phone em today and see if they have any primer in white cheers  :-))

Hi Hellboy

Thought of that overcoating the etching primer I'll give it a go but its the thickness I might end up with I'll spray using thinner coats and try it cheers  :-))

Upol etch primer from Halfords seems to do a fine job and is applied as a single very light coat which should have little effect on the final thickness. Do not use it as you would a normal primer, i.e to provide a surface for the final coats..
