I can only praise the staff at Ross Hall in Glasgow .
Trying to work out a schedule for Fairmount Alpine when I am up and about ,working out the correct chain of events with the painting . The first fix of the electrics are in I will get the bow thruster controller and get that finished.

Hi,
My Sister in the UK has just had a hip replacement.
In and out in three days, running around like a spring chicken.
Exercise is the key, plenty of walks.
Regards

I couldn't agree more. I had my right knee replaced just over 3 years ago and did lots of exercising, mainly on a stationary bike. It hurt like blazes for a while but I stuck it out, and was back driving after 3 weeks. I kept up riding on my real bike which helped greatly, as well as walking, and I've had no problems since.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Peter.

Very best wishes David. My wife has been waiting for this op for nearly four years, poor thing.

4 years ,what a strange world we live in , I started with the hip job in about March 2013 had an X-ray within 18 weeks then nothing until a phone call from Aberdeen hospital informing me that it woul be at least another 2 years before thy could see me ,but if I was prepared to go to Glasgow it woul be quicker . I said yes . I then had appointment to see the surgeon early September on that vist he told me the op would be on the 29 th September.
Now for the strange bit I would be in hospital for 5/6 days . My wife was put up in a four star hotel near the hospital all paid for by NHS Scotland ,all travel expenses paid ,that is going for 1st consultation, the op journey ,and the final checkup journey, and all the work was done in a private hospital at no cost to me at all.
I know I benifited but how can all this be right , I know of a least 3 people that have gone through the same process.

Which is why the cost of the NHS in Scotland is considerably more than in England - so take advantage of it while you can.
