I have been given a Victoria sailing thingy which came with the rigging looking like a snakes honeymoon. It has the sail arm servo and all the bits inside, however I have no idea how the saill winch should be connected, or indeed how the gib is fixed, any help would be most welcome.....or it gets a steam plant {-) {-)

Hi,
Need a photo so I can see what is what as setups for yachts differ from person to person. Meanwhile I'll see is a diagram for your type of yacht is available.

good luck , ive just finished rebiulding one which i got just over a month ago , one of our club members has one , after a short conversation with him he told me the sail arm servo requires to have more grunt than fitting the recomended 3kg/cm standard sized servo , to this end ive fitted a whirlwind drum winch , ive also made my own sails using the original very frayed mk1 suit as patterns , made a new mast with bottlescrew kicker and swapped the jib boom for a 6mm od alloy tube , only finished at lunch time today , no photos yet & ive not had it in the water either !
