Don't you just love predictive text?
Just had an argument with my phone.
Type swarf get dwarf.
Three times.
Go to settings and find predictive text is in
aggressive mode.
Switched it off and it still argues with me >>:-( >>:-(

Predictive text is an 'amusing' little App that runs behind you changing everything you've typed correctly into apparently random words bearing little resemblance to what you've typed. Usually takes at least twice as many key presses than then the non-predictive version. Turning it off is not easy as the s/w authors think it is so funny that they hide the off setting so deep inside the menus that it takes ages to find it.
And that's with a full Qwerty keyboard. . . . Trying using predictive with a 9 key keypad and after 50 key presses trying to text a simple message you might as well give up and just call them.
My biggest gripe with modern Dumb-phones is there is no manual. It's all "Intuitive" they laughingly suggest.

Don't get me started on ASDA self service check outs, unexpected item in the bagging area and I haven't put anything in there yet, so while I'm thinking about that , then comes please scan your next item, I swear they are out to get me. >>:-( >>:-( %%

I find the predictive text on my new phone, a Sony Experia Z1 Compact, to be very good, making sending a text message much quicker. It gives the option of a suggested word, or you can simply select the word you are typing, which appears in a separate little box.

You had better argue with the SatNav in my locality else it steers you to a dead end with locked gates and the roadway on the other side, O0 O0 {-) {-) %% %%
But not funny when it happens to ambulances, so locals/patients have to say go in the opposite direction.
Life was simpler and safer with street directories :-)) :-))
When I retired so did my mobile phone, work issued, I no longer have constant interuptions nor any of this nonsense and get things done uninterrupted by the vagaries of mobiles etc and their shenanigans. O0 O0

RAAArtyGunner...so youre the other person that doesnt have a mobile, welcome to the exclusive club. One online retailer wanted as part of the order process that you include your mobile number and I couldnt proceed with order, so I used landline and called them , told the girl the problem, she took my order then asked for my mobile number!!!!
Bleeding landline is enough hassle for me with all the unwanted calls, one company phoned me day after day trying to get me to install cavity wall insulation(which I already have) so in the end I invited them to call, when the rep turned up and I told him I didnt need it, he said he had travelled 40 miles and I was a ****** time waster, my response was " now you know how I feel with all your calls, no go away" or words to that effect
