Title: ACTION P40D MARINE MOTOR MIXER
Post by: flack on November 29, 2014, 04:05:29 pm
Picking brains again I'm afraid - this electronics business with brushless motors, mixers and ESC's is all a bit complex to me having come from the days, more years ago than I can remember, of either I/C engines or brushed electric motors with rheostats as the speed controller.

I'm in the process of building the Metcalf Mouldings "The Scout" Waveney class lifeboat and intend to put in two Turnigy D3542/5 1250KV Brushless Outrunner Motors controlled through Turnigy 90 amp ESC'S, the boat will be powered by 12 volt lead acid batteries. I'm looking at using the Action P40D mixer and would be grateful for comments from anyone with any experience with this mixer particularily using Futaba 2.4Ghz 6J radio equipment.

Cheers Shaun

It will definitely work with your system and the radio should be ok.
If not Inertia will put you right.

Thanks Ned, I had read somewhere that some of Actions stuff didn't like the 6J.

It's the P94 DUAL ESC AND MIXER that isn't compatible.
The P40 is ok. I use one with a Futty 6J.
