I was looking for more info on the re floating of the Hoegh Osaka ,it's not happening today as was on the news yesterday .

Good video on BBC of the ship, now upright, being towed to Southampton. A very satisfactory outcome for the salvors.

Just tried to look at the bbc link but it is no longer available,will have to watch BBC South news.

It was a live broadcast apparently and ended with the ship well up Southampton Water.
It's amazing how thin the towline is compared with the load on the end of it.

So, according to that report an item of cargo punctured a hole in the hull. I wonder what crew member was responsible for tying that one down {-)

The ship would not have been expected to tilt to that sort of angle at sea so I expect it was secured adequately enough. It's just surprising that not more of the cargo broke loose in what was effectively a virtual capsize situation. Almost the whole of the bottom of the ship was visible.
