This life boat took 1st place at Windermere Steam Boat Show last weekend, scratchbuilt by Arthur Barlow of Llandudno.

I have watched this being built over the last 2 years, the only thing left to do I think, is put the name on both sides, Arthur did tell use what the power plant was, but it escapes me at the moment, also the batteries, but I do remember him saying the batteries cost ?120.00, and at full bore last 1hr 20 minutes and had not run out of steam.

I used to serve on a Mersey and the attention to detail is amazing. That is one heck of a model. Great Job Aurthur!!
Does Authur have a website anywhere or photos detailing the construction.
Excuse my ignorance on this and no offense intended, but when it says scratch built, does that include the Hull and superstructure. i.e Did Aurthur make these himself or were these pre-purchased.
