Title: Model Slipway Range Safety Craft
Post by: meridian on July 21, 2007, 05:23:38 pm
Hi everyone,

I finished building my first boat in May and, despite the weather, have now had several successful outings with it. I'm afraid I didn,t take photographs during the build but here is one of the completed boat. It started life as a Model Slipway Range Safety Craft kit but I decided it would look better as an MOD Police Boat. Thoroughly enjoyed building it and enjoy sailing it very much. Despite warnings, I appear to have caught the model boat bug because I am now planning my second boat and have this morning taken delivery of the hull of an HDML. I plan to start building around September/October this year.

MSW, excellent scale models imo. Most of the range are built to be around the 1 metre length mark which is a good size.

Would love to see a few of the models scaled up so they were about a metre and a half in length, though. That would be cool  ;D
