Hi Link

Seawind is an OK boat.

If you have built an airfix kit you can do this.
You will also need to buy a sail servo. These are more powerful than a standard servo. The instruction will tell you what thype of sevo you need, sail winch or sail arm.

If you google you will find lots of stuff on the seawind. Including build logs, hints and tips on how to improve or modify the boat, and more

Sailing is good fun and relaxing. Enjoy
 :)

Hi Link
I think you will find model yachting an enjoyable hobby. If you get to Furzdon (spelling?) Lake at Shenley, the Two Rivers Model Yacht Club Meets there on the far side of the lake to the main road. I don't live there - my son does - so I can't tell you much more except they definitely meet on Sunday mornings and I'm sure you will get any advice needed from them.
Happy sailing

Just had a thought that the lads at Furzton (I thought I had it wrong !) go under Two Islands MYC not Two Rivers as I said. Evidently named after the two small islands that border their sailing area.

Glad to have been of help. I was down there two Sundays ago and they were sailing Lasers, so it looks like it varies which class sails on that day.
Cheers
