I've always wanted to build one of these, but have never found any info on them. Does anyone know if there are any plans or hulls available for a boat like one of these?

I love the old Clinker Varnished hulls
There is a lot of character in them

Hi Charlie,
Great little boats to model, there is a museum near here (Hasting's Fishermen Museum) that may have some plans and they'd probably be more than happy to help.
Might be worth getting in touch? I'd be more than happy to go down on your behalf and scan anything they have if they offer, I have a hand held scanner which is normally good enough for most jobs.

Hi Charlie,
Maybe not quite the Sussex Beach Fishing Boat but how about this one (http://freeshipplans.com/free-model-ship-plans/fao-trawler/) if you slightly adapted its layout?
At least dimensions and hull form might approximately come close.
Here's another plan (http://freeshipplans.com/free-model-ship-plans/fishing-boat-plans/skulte-fishing-boat-plans/) of a small fishing boat of indefinite origin, which if of little help either might at least nourish the inspiration.

Ralph

Hi Alex - i hadn't thought about the museum. Good suggestion! I will schedule a visit to Hastings once the weather has warmed up. Will take some photos of any boats on the beach.
Ralph - Thanks for the reply. That is a nice looking trawler, but not quite what i am looking for unfortunately.

Hi Charlie
Talk to Andy Griggs at Models by design he does a moulding set for a Holton
with a rear wheel house that will fit the bill.

They're suffering from the dreaded MSQLdatabase "screw up" , seen it happen a few times on Trawlerphotos and needs someone with a LOT more brains and programming ability than I've got to sort it out ( always the server company as its a bit of software on the server itself )

Seem to remember as a child they had one of the last sailing lugger's there in preservation, the old wooden motor F V were only motorised versions of the sailing ones with a wheelhouse aft. Does any one know if the old lugger is still there.

I think the sailing lugger used to be in the fishermans chapel, when you went in it smelt of tar etc....regards tony

Yep the "Enterprise" is still there. They had to knock down a wall to get it in, I doubt it'll ever be coming out ;)
