Hi
Can anybody help me please I am building the 1/24 scale perkasa Malaysian gas turbine boat, but the plans I have and instructions do not say what the measurements are for the waterline bow and stern,
My question is can anybody give me the measurements in millimeters Bow and Stern and where the bow measurement is from.
Thanks
Trevor

48" stem to transom :-))

I think he wants the distance of the waterline from the deck at bow and stern not LOA.

Yes from the deck to waterline please,

Hi Trevsavo, the Precedent kit Perkasa's bow is different where it meets the deckline (gunwhale). Study the photos of the original Brave Borderer in the following thread and you will get a very good idea of where to mark the waterline on your model hull. The Perkasa's waterline would definately be similar - almost identical. These were very heavy boats and this is reflected in the position of their waterlines. This information is best copied from original photos. Waterlines are usually set at the level for the boat at 'full' load. The model Borderer in the thread appears to have a correctly proportioned waterline. Hope this helps. A good build plan usually gives this info but I cannot remember if the Precedent kit does and I have built two of 1:24 fibreglass types. %)
