Hi everyone-
I want to identify a specific type/class of trawler- I did not know where to start in describing the boat in question, BUT, then a flash of inspiration!
The boat is the one used as a trade mark for fisherman's friend products. If you are able to help, this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

The image of a Middle-water side trawler that is found on all Fisherman's Friend products.
Got this on Wikipedia.org
doesn't appear to be on a specific vessel - just a generic sidewinder of the Fleetwood trawlers.
(I assume Fleetwood as that is where the lozenge company is / was based.
Regards,
Ray.

Many thanks for your reply - much appreciated.
So we have Fleetwood as a first area to consider - I am a complete novice at this, but have a feeling that the bridge is quite distinctive? and may suggest a certain time of construction.
Keep the comments coming, and thanks Captain Podge for your prompt reply.
Best regards

Does it look like this trawler from Mountfleet Models?

Yes Colin, there are similarities with the Mountfleet model illustrations - I am surprised a little that the 'actual' boat is longer that I anticipated (The fisherman's friend trade mark suggests a more compact boat).
This is all good information - thanks everyone

I believe the following may help.....from a reliable resource O0
"the logo WAS based upon a real vessel called CEVIC, built in 1958 at Lowestoft, 249 gross tons, 116ft LBP and owned by the CevicSF Co.Ltd. she was sold as an OSRV in 1978, but returned to fishing later on when she became registered in France or Spain (? )......sank in the Bay of Biscay sometime before the turn of the millennium
The image even confirms the link to the Fisherman's Friend logo...........Derek
