Hi guys and girls I guess,
I'm brand new here, and am getting back into the hobby after a long break due to running my model manufacturing business for the last 27 yrs. And it wasn't boat related. Well most of it anyway!
I've just ordered a set of drawings for the Trawler Aurora LK-1, but I can't find any images to show me what the final product looks like.
I did stumble across a post back in 2010 where a bloke was looking for info on a suitable motor, and he had an image of the hull on the post. Can't find anything past that.
So any help would be much appreciated.

G'day Para,
Haven't started yet. Still trying to decide which way to go. Only yesterday I got the drawings out to have another look, and they are still on the dining room table. ( No lady in the house any more to object to clutter on the table! )
Too many unfinished projects from before I had to leave the model boats to run my model railway manufacturing business which lasted 27yrs, and still happens part time. When your hobby becomes a business, no more hobby! I was also producing model boat parts in urethane and whitemetal for Ron Burchett in Canada.
I also have a nice little 24" Canadian F/G Trawler hull/deck and house called the "Leah Marie" from Ron Burchett, but can't find any images or details relating to this as a model or the real thing, so if I go that way it will have to be a generic model based on Canadian trawler images of a similar type. Some of my current models are in 1:24 ( my favoured scale ) and as I'm getting on a bit they are becoming too heavy to handle. They run full car batteries as well, so it's all getting too hard.
Maybe it's time to look at smaller models!

gday matey ,
i build in 1/32, and use mainly12V 7 A batteries,and I find them heavy enough
most tugs are about 750/900mm loa, run well in weather, but can be picked up w care
food for thought

G'day Bill,
My tug Iron Cove is 4'10 1/2' long and the Sirius Cove is 4ft and she is quite fat as well. I still prefer 1:24 over all others, so I guess I'll just have to pick smaller prototypes!

G'day Ian I started building the trawler Aurora LK-1 about six month's ago i have build the hull plank on frame and i about to fit the deck, the wheelhouse is partly completed I will send some pics if you'd like.

I'm still nowhere near cutting plywood yet, as I've had a new vintage truck turn up for some attention. That's another of my interests, and does sop up a lot of my time!
Wouldn't mind seeing your pictures though, as that might help me get inspired to make a start.
