Title: HMS Gannet
Post by: RickF on July 23, 2007, 01:01:54 am
Hi Guys,

Anyone aware of the existence of plans for HMS Gannet, the 1878 RN "Osprey" class sloop currently preserved at Chatham, or any of the class? The NMM probably have some, but as I prefer not to re-mortgage my house, I'm looking for alternative sources. Scale not important, but the bigger the better!

Thanks

Rick

Job done! Obtained a set of 1:48 drawings from Chatham Historic Dockyard Library - very helpful librarian and didn't cost the earth either.

Just a quick update. I've been unable get a set of lines and sections for "Gannet", so the project is on hold. I even tried the NMM but they don't have any. So, unless someone out there knows the whereabouts of a set, it's a non-starter.
