Title: Aerokits Swordsman

Hi All

My mates 40 year old unfinished original 33 and 1/2 inch Swordsman.
Frames B2 and B3 replaced but still has the originals.
The original plans I have rescanned.
I have order a 3639-1100kv motor with a 40mm x 1.4 pitch prop, 60A ESC, 4mm solid drive kit and 5800mah 60C 3S battery.
Planning some very nice Tasmanian wood decking to dress up the old girl!!!

Hi Jarvo

I have the plans (in PDF format)and bulkhead frame plans from a 28" one, with a bit of resizing you can make it work.
I resized them to 110% but I ended up a 1/2 inch wider than the original boat.
So next I try 108%.

 :-)) I just love these old wood boats,I must have built most of the aerokits in the 1960s,they were great kits for there time and always performed  well,these were all powered by diesel or glow motors but alas no radio (I was just a poor apprentice),Blackheath was the lake I used and we got some great boats on that water,best of luck with your build and thanks for bringing back some happy memories,I have still got the modern version of the Sea Commander and sea Queen,the latter is powered by an old 15cc Taplin twin which stats quite  easily,sadly a bit bit for me now and there not many places I can run it,I would never part with it as has bought back so many memories of my youth and has pride of place in the hall,Ray. :-))

I am lucky my mate has the original plans, also the original plans of the Sea Hornet which I am building(see Sea Hornet 2015).
I have had the plans rescanned and PDF file so as the originals can be stored.
Also the Aerokits FPL plans.
Other mate has a MFA Spearfish which we may remould the hull to make a Spearman !!

 :-)) They make great boats that perform well and can stand up their modern counterparts any day,I follow with interest your build and the model gives you many years of enjoyment as have mine,Ray :-)) :-))

Is that the open cockpit version of the Huntsfish, Harry?  ok2

I'm afraid that vintage wooden powerboats are becoming something of an obsession here. Can anyone recognise this one?
