Title: gps for model boats
Post by: Klunk on April 27, 2015, 09:01:39 pm
out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone had a recomendation for a gps logger that I could buy to into boats, especially my Atlantis for wicksteed, mainly for 2 reasons.
1 just to see how far she travels
2 to stop Chuffy stealing her!
i have seen the ones that you put a sim card in, but was looking for a recommendation really,

I have a GPS plugin unit on my eagletree micro logger. Works very well, but don't use it much, other functions get used a lot more.

If you just want GPS logging, then perhaps use an app on a phone?

e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mendhak.gpslogger&hl=en

klunk you only need a sat nav system not to sail your boat but to find the way from the car park to the waters edge, then you will be able to try and sail a boat?
