Title: triang type speed controller
Post by: Rottweiler on May 08, 2015, 11:01:31 pm
I wonder if anyone may have surplus Triang Railways type controller please? The type that has a big red knob that turns to a a99djust the speed of the motor. My reason for asking is that I am having a mechanism made,on which to place one of my lifeboat models, used for raising funds for the RNLI which will then simulate it being on the sea.The item I need would control the speed of the pitching and rolling.
Cheap please,if anyone could help?
Many Thanks
Mick F

A Duette! Nice...thats got to be worth forty bucks to the right person.
Will stick the cheap plastic replacement for the Duette in the post on Monday, while thinking of something contentious to say about somebody ;)

so could you not jury rig a motor with a belt driven shaft to a cam to create the rocker motion, or several belts and pulleys to reduce the speed of the shaft to the cam creating the rocking motion, a bobs board could further reduce the speed of the motor
