My advice is don't bother coming as the authorities are doing their level best to make it as awkward as possible for people to view the event, now compounded by the threatened rail strike and one by the Liverpool black cab drivers.

Typical isn't it, so much time hyping it up and then can't do this can't do that...... Luckily push comes to shove can see it from bedroom window, but gonna stroll down to the prom and squeeze in against the rails.

I certainly won't be going anywhere near the Pump House on that day. Anyway, there are more refined establishments in the general area.

Will they be along side or moored in the middle of the River ?.
Would it be a better view on the Birkenhead side ?

This may help. http://peelports.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/2015-02-SPECIAL-DIRECTION-Three-Queens-Event-25-May-2015.pdf (http://peelports.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/2015-02-SPECIAL-DIRECTION-Three-Queens-Event-25-May-2015.pdf)

I hope to be in position by 0600 with tripod and stand chained to the railings. If not or stopped I shall give up and go home.

This exercise is nothing more than a money grabbing operation with the local authorities and others doing their best too fleece the local population and visitors in anyway they can. Some examples: Liverpool museum charging £60-50 to use the upstairs section, the mound at Bromborough charging for entry, (don't even think about as it's too far away), St. Marys Tower at Monks Ferry £3 to £5 depending on the time to go up the tower for an hour and so on.

Most of us around here wish it would all go away as the disruption is going to be enormous, whether people turn up or not, Not what Cunard had in mind no doubt.

don't know what choice I'd make if given the course of giving one up..............boats or scones...........................it'd have to be boats %% %% %%...............so long as it was Cornish clotted cream on the scones. ( other derivatives are available so says the BBC)

I saw them too, and what a great sight they made. I have seen all three Queens in Sydney, but at different times, all three have never visited Sydney, or anywhere else in Australia, at the same time, but I live in hope.

The motorway queue for New Brighton was horrendous, so once the outside lane was clear we went straight up to Liscard  no problems parking , a 10min walk to the prom and a grandstand view. we were a bit away from the pierhead but that area seemed solid we had a good view and a lovely day. Finished with a clear run home.
