Thanks guys All OK, till I hit the Starter for the First time . THE STARTER MOTOR DRIVE PINION cracked off a gear tooth and bent the Starter Motor drive shaft, so for now I will be doing it by hand to get it going.
I have done the walk of shame back to the car  :embarrassed:

I have contacted Arrow Shark and waiting for a reply soon for a new motor.

Anyway not to disappointed because at least the boat can be started by hand, I think the cause of the early departure of said item is, tooo much compression on the tuned engine.

Better luck next time  8)

Well I took the boat out today, and it started up first pull on the pulley thing (yuck) and went around the lake, in style with her head up high.

I could not video the maiden because I was on my own Sunday because the weather was Carp, but the boat has a lot of punch.
First problem.
Got the turn right / left wrong so sorted that in the Tx.. yawn.
Next, I have found out that the rudder is in the wrong place and needs moving out a bit by 50mm, now this is in the shopping list as well.

When the Starter motor arrives The final video will be released.

Bernie ;-)

Look forward to seeing it Bernie.

Great you have access to a bit of water that allows IC. I got rid of all my IC engines a few years ago as there's simply nowhere to run the darn things round here, at least not unless you just want to stand on your own for hours on end.

Thank you for the good wishes I am sure it will be a blast, my mate in the club has the same boat but the engine is a bog standard Zenoah and we clocked it at 42 mph with a hand held speed camera.
My zen is 3rd stage tune from Bonzai sports so all hell will break loose when it is run in ;-)  {-) 8)

We are very lucky I suppose, the lake is perfect for IC but we need to be very careful with the Public and the Animals, but we are all aware, and play safe to keep the club alive.

JAW.......best of water conditions for this Sundays tests :-)).......does engine vibration cause any issues?....with all of that alloy construction, attempting optimum torque values would be out of question...so do you use any Loctite type materials on those fasteners? ............ and again with the alloy, the grade of Loctite would need to be a low strength to make the components demountable..... Hi Derek,
Yes the engine does vibrate at low revs but expected, the fault was mine, as one bolt was not secure, I do use a thread lock now, but not a lover of it. I use A blue one called IC LOC It is medium strength so is easy to remove.

I am putting the engine in now, Friday, so in the lake Sunday not to bothered about the weather as it can handle some rough water.

She is alive and well, I had to dub the video as it would be booooring watching it go round and round till it ran out of petrol.
Anyway hope you like it, the quality is a bit carp because my camera is old now like a bit of a dinosaur.
