Title: Invoking DVD copy protection.
Post by: Liverbudgie2 on May 30, 2015, 11:46:54 am
Nothing to do with modelling or maritime matters however, I would like to know if there is any way a DVD can be protected from or at least made very difficult to copy or used without authorisation?

It can be done, at a cost of course, but I have no idea as to where such software can be found. I ask because I came across a Japanese warship magazine some weeks ago which is superbly illustrated and on the back cover has a DVD of the printed pictures but, it can't be copied at least not on my PC anyway. The same applies to film DVD's of course, so how is it done and can it be done economically?

Type " DVD copying protection" into google, it comes up with endless free software to do what you want.
I've not tried any of them so can't recomend any particular one
