Title: Original transmissions
Post by: rhavrane on June 07, 2015, 06:01:25 pm
Bonjour,

During the last model boat event located on the lake Blanchette located in Massy-Palaiseau, France, where more than 100 boats were presented, I have discovererd two tugs with very original transmisions built by my friend Michel :

The tug FAIRPLAY with two Schottel transmissions day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i__-RP4mjZs) and night (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i__-RP4mjZs)

The tug MISTRAL with two Voith Schneider transmssions here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWfC4NlfnGI)

Watch their maneuverability !

And I do not resist to the pleasure to share with you a few pictures of my "offshore" tug JAN  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqrJScYCvXA)running with a steam pressure of 2-3 bars.

All my other videos about this event with the key words "Massy 2015 RC" on YouTube, you might see other types of models  :-))

I watched the videos. I think the night and day video is the same one? I had a chuckle at your steam tug Jan, towards the end it puts on a bit of speed and outruns the catamaran power boat {-) It does look nice on the water though.

Bonjour Brian56,

Oups, Sorry, you are right  :-))
Here is the good version of night video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0gI4Ty4g6g) of the Fairpaly with a very difficult translation maneuver, I do not know how to modify my original message.
And when JAn offered a promenade  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmxepI3cwOc)to the President of the Massy Mdele Club, she was quite more quiet  O0
