Title: Smashed new Tug
Post by: Cyscrofer on June 16, 2015, 10:24:19 pm
Hi all.

Its been some time since model boating and im sure you too would be in shock to see what I received after a month of waiting for my new Tug.

Two boxes arrived by UPS this morning.

Big smiles

I found a Tug alright, and then the smile went.

The deck was completely smashed up all the railings bent out of shape, almost every bit of plasticard ripped from its mornings.

on opening the other box I found the upper deck with the main mast snapped in half and both ends badly damaged.

On board cast alloy loading deck crane snapped in half, on board lights, and various other bits like cast resing winches snapped like twigs.

I would like to bring to your attention to a company and there poor level of conduct with regard to a sale to myself.

I was sold a Yorkshireman Tug over a month ago and has only just arrived this morning !

Moderated

I received two very poorly packaged the boxes and supplied a very poor quality yet very expensive tug boat.

The tug cost me just short of £300 plus £22 for delivery and when it arrived its completely scrap.

The only salvageable parts really are the hull and drive, all the upper structure from the deck were smashed and broken completely out of place.

I wouldn’t mind but you expect the odd bit to get damaged and as a builder of 38 years now I don’t mind the odd repair but when I open the box I found this….

I contacted Moderated twice this evening firstly being threatened by the Police for potential harassment from him…. I couldn’t believe it.

And then he hung up on twice while I was trying to sort out what had gone wrong.

He wasn’t prepared to tell me he would give me a refund of any kind after he wanted me to send it back to him…..I'm already well out of pocket as is and to then risk total loss of well over £300 with no certainty of any refund makes me wonder just how this man does business.

At first I thought it may have just been usual courier damage, but to this extreme and looking more closely at the build quality and the ridiculous behavior on the phone with this man all I can say is DO NOT deal with him and I strongly recommend you remove him from your webpage.

I would like to see that you protect others from potential purchases from this man who obviously cannot be trusted in the Moderated.

I would love to here from anyone who has had dealings with this man.

cheers

Sorry to hear of your woes Cyscrofer but we can't allow unsubstantiated & potentially libelous claims here on Mayhem ( any forum you'll find actually! )

I'm afraid you'll have to take the legal route first.   {:-{

( You have right of reply of course but not on the open forum, please PM me. )
