Just bought the fibreglass hull for Hazelgarth which is 40" long. I need to fabricate a keel through which the prop shaft will go and to which the rudder will be fixed.
If anybody has any ideas on how to achieve this I would appreciate their input.
It should be approx 43cm long X 13.5 high and I think between 10 and 15mm in width
Many Thanks

hello,I`m not built that tug ,but a few others , normally , for strength , the keel is done in ply, you can coat this latter w f/glass resin , the shape should be shown on the plans+sometimes it is continued into the hull , for strength, this can also then be taken up to the bottom of the prop shaft ,for added strength.
normally i just glue it onto the hull w slow dry araldite glue,
hope this helps
