Title: Beccles Coiler
Post by: para_handy on June 29, 2015, 04:55:48 pm
Hi is there anyone out there got any drawings or a manual of a Beccles coiler, I would like to be able to make one
that actually works, but i am surprised that i can't find any information other than a picture or two which doesn't really
show the workings.

^^ Give Robert a shout , he rebuilt one for his lads boat ( Constellation FR , GM28 ) but think they've sold it ( was for sale ) , Robert was an engineer on fishing boats so probably kept drawings and measurements

Hi, I had the same trouble in 1972 when i was building a fishing boat, I ended up down on the quay with camera, pad, pencils and tape measure. There is nothing like the real thing. If you get the plans for "Launch Out" you can get a fair idea of what is required.I do know that Millers of St Monace had a version that they made, firm long gone unfortunately. Nemesis
