I saw this yesterday at Felixstowe :-) nice little yacht passing her too.
-
Is there any chance you could crop a higher resolution image of just this part of the photo?
Or if anyone form Felixstowe knows the name of the ship, if it is locally moored.
-
I think it may be the Sea Cadet training ship Royalist. Now owned by the marine society or the Stavros n narcos
-
Isn't that the Sail Training Ship Stavros S Niarchos?
-
There doesn't appear to be any windows in the front part of the bridge tower!
Is that because the containers pile right up to the bridge?

You got it Martin! When I was sailing the predecessors to these, only 9000teu as opposed to 20000teu, we still had bridge front windows, but pretty pointless most of the time, kept the curtains shut as reading the same container number everyday for 2 weeks gets pretty boring. Think they all have a side view now, except perhaps the captain and chief engineer right in the gods!

Should be Stavros S Niarchos leaving Ipswich bound for Schevenigen
