Title: Scharnhorst
Post by: sinjon on August 12, 2015, 02:39:57 pm
Hello,

Has anyone here worked out the size of a deck plank on the Scharnhorst or the Gneisenau' at a scale of 1:200 (Graupner)
That is the length and width of one plank.

Thanks
Colin

If memory serves a plank width of 7.5 inches rings a bell but I think there was some variation from different eras and nationalities.  At 1/200th scale this dimension would give a plank width of 0.95mm.

I have the drawings for the Scharnhorst, if you are still looking I will get them out and check for you.

Hi,

I am just about ready to start the deck planking, so the plank length and width would be brilliant.

Thanks for the help
