The Quanum Aquaholic is the ultimate Deep V Racing Boat offering high speed, excellent handling and killer good looks. The vibrant race inspired paint scheme and expertly applied decals are sure to turn heads wherever you go!
A potent watercooled brushless power system comes pre-installed providing extreme power to the prop. The motor is an outrunner which produces massive amounts of torque. This allows the boat to get on step almost instantly upon hitting the throttle. The precision machined alloy rudder and pre-installed high torque steering servo makes for crisp steering response and keeps the boat upright during hard cornering.
The hull is constructed from lightweight yet durable ABS - this is where the Aquaholic differs from the others. The hull has a beautifully painted gloss finish just like fiberglass, yet it's offered at a much lower cost. The decals are applied before the final clear coat, sealing them from the elements and providing a top quality look.
This boat will be ready to run in about 10 minutes after opening the box thanks to the high level of pre-assembly. You will simply need to bolt on the rudder and propeller, connect the steering linkage, install your receiver and you're ready to go!
This is hands down the most fun, exciting and easy to setup brushless race boat we've ever had our hands on here at the HobbyKing office, we know you'll love it too!

..... %) "This boat will be ready to run in about 10 minutes after opening the box thanks to the high level of pre-assembly" {-)
Are they the same in origin of minutes as are those curious Chinese amps? O0
I reckon that would take me about {:-{ about 10 weeks .......Derek
-
10 minutes may be a bit optimistic but certainly a leisurely hour. :-))

Still not had a chance to run the Bat1 again, I've still got a definite lack of wind!

Was this from international or uk warehouse? Looks a fun boat
Have you had it on the water yet
-
Mine came from HK.
Hope to get her bum wet this week!
-
I see by pic 5 that you've already changed the kinked plastic tube on the ESC to silicone! :-))
-
Well spotted that man!
I also upgraded it to thick wall tubing I had laying around..... which I found after a 2 hour search of the attic! >:-o
-
Might just be the light but is the area where the hull meets the shaft watertight?

TugCowboy Usually they are sealed inside by means of hot glue gun or similar already done for you.
Martin I take it from the pics that you got the cat as well to play with
Dave
-
TB, I'll post photos tonight of the insides.
Stav, I think your right about the sealant, can't remember at the moment.
No, no Cat but I'll ask!
-
As suspected, big dollop of... something inboard!

Hot glue gun strikes again ha ha Same stuff they use on all the rtr stuff to hold esc down etc etc etc
Dave

As a keep eyed viewer spotted on Facebook, there is a kink in the water cooling silicon tube, on the ESC.
I was going to leave it 'stock' but I'm not like that!
I knew I had some silicon tubing somewhere, a brief 3 hour hunt around the house and I found some in the attic!
I like the thick wall silicon tubing, you can tie a knot in it and it still doesn't kink!
No markings on the ESC... so we'll see how much punishment it can take!

While taking photo, something started rattling around inside the hull, never a good thing!
An Allen screw dropped into view but I couldn't find out where it had fallen out from.
Eventually found it was from the rudder horn.

The boat is sold 'Almost Ready to Run' so very few thing need to be fitted.
The yellow thing is a female XT60 connector, in case your batteries is a different type of connector.
XT60 are very common with the aero and quad copter boys.

Fitting the rudder is easy enough and nice fit.
The strut is plastic, the rudder is metal but it doesn't till upward.

ER what about fitting the prop before the rudder suerly you cant get it on after that has been fitted ????

Martin
This looks like it has a cable shaft, if so, does the esc have reverse??? the cable unwinds inside the outer tube, when going the wrong way!!!!

The pickup pipe looked too near the prop hub so I decided to shorten it.
I toyed with the idea of drilling through the plastic and pushing the pipe straight through but decided shortening was easier.... mistake!
There then followed a four hour hunt for my Dremel ( which also resulted in the house being relived of 2 black bags of 'rubbish' and 2 more bags for the charity shops! ). The pipe seems to be stainless steel as it was pretty hard to cut!

Dunno! Haven't started it up yet!
-
I ALWAYS do is pressure test the water cooling piping, using Mk I pressure pump..... me lungs!
Damn it! It leaks!
The pickup pipe is held in place with a stainless steel Allen screw... screwed into plastic.... hmmm!
OK, back to plan B - 'drilling the plastic and pushing the pipe straight through.'
A another 2 hour search of my ' save those bit' boxes but no 5mm tube, ordered a bit off fleabay.

The hatch is quite thick moulding and I can't quite work out if it's once piece foam mould thing or something else.... or if it even floats!
( I lost a hatch once so always fit a lanyard or flotation. )
I just need to fling it in the bath....... but it not that time of year, yet!

Back outside, the hull has two drain points.
Hi Martin,
I think that you will find that the upper one is not a drain but is intended for the Rx aerial, there will be a hole through it allowing the wire to fit. (only for receivers with longer aerial wires.) This gets the aerial as high as possible.
