This is what being on permanent station in the North Sea for 18 years does to you! This old girl the North Sea Producer, is currently moored next to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, the place where she was converted to a drill ship from a tanker those 18 years ago.
The time hasn't been kind to her and the owners haven't decided whether to sell her on, keep her and rebuild or scrap her. I'd guess the state of the industry at the moment and with the amount of offshore craft already tied up and in mothballs, it rather looks like she could be scrapped.
