Title: Full size Boats
Post by: sparkey on September 16, 2015, 08:02:17 pm
Been a nice day in Wales, looking round some full size boats if only I had enough penny's in the jar.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           http://s25.postimg.org/wy9cf6a3f/DSC_0255.jpg?noCache=1442429648 (http://s25.postimg.org/wy9cf6a3f/DSC_0255.jpg?noCache=1442429648)

Why don't you just attach the original image directly from your computer? You don't need to save it to any third party website. Click on the "Attachments and other options" text below your message and browse your PC for the file path, then upload it. It won't show the file if you Preview it - only once you've hit Enter to send it. If I can do it then it can't be difficult.  O0

Using Postimage:
(NB! Postimage.org has been well flaky over the years, sometime disappearing all together so use at your own risk... but it is one of the easiest to use! )

1.  http://postimage.org/ (http://postimage.org/)

(http://s4.postimg.org/o61xsn67h/Post_Image01.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

2. You can Register (less advertising)  but you don't have to.

3.  Make Sure you click   Family Safe   &   1024x768  (19-inch monitor )

(http://s15.postimg.org/put2o255n/Post_Image02_ajpg.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

4. Next click Browse

(http://s4.postimg.org/f72oo4mjx/Post_Image02.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

( NB: Notice huge size of image! )

5.  Next click Upload

(http://s4.postimg.org/mki2n36lp/Post_Image04.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

(http://s4.postimg.org/a4lctcd9p/Post_Image05.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

(http://s4.postimg.org/6arwk6vxp/Post_Image06.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)

6. Once uploaded, you should get a screen like this:

7. Next click on Hotlink for Forums (1)  - ( it will briefly flash up Copied! )

Hi Dave, I seem to have a similar problem to Ray when I try this - only manage to get photos on via 3rd Party - I'll try with a random photo...see what happens.....

Regards,

Ray.

Well now, that worked. Nice one, thanks Dave.

Martin, when using Postimage as a host I normally select resize my image (640 x 480) so, going by your post (above) I should be leaving it as Do Not Resize My Image - is that correct ?

Sparkey - sorry for jumping in on your thread ;D

Regards,

Ray.

We'll spit this topic later Ray.

The forum limit any image to 900 x 500   so   1028 x 768 will be good enough!

Postimage.org has always been flaky over the years, sometime disappearing all together so use at your own risk.
It even used to be part of this Forum's s/w but had to remove it due to it unreliability... but it is one of the easiest to use!

My current favourite is http://cubeupload.com/
