For the price it may be cheaper to buy one of the hobby King transmitters and strip it for parts.
Or I have an old Jr. Rx you can have for parts

If it doesn't have to be exactly that particular one then try SLM Model Engineers. They make several dual-axis stick assemblies for not a lot of money. If you only need one then I have a spare which you can have for the cost of the postage. On second thoughts, if you pay my airfare I can deliver it in person  8)

I meant TX  :embarrassed:  (in my defence, the T & R are side by side on the keyboard)

Thanks for the kind offers, especially Dave {-)   I need 3 maybe 4 for the ideas I have.  Once I have a definite formulation of the idea I'll let you all know more.

SLM also make single-axis sticks with mechanical trim levers. The problem with trying to salvage the sticks from modern transmitters is that they tend to be part of the case moulding and not fitted as separate units with screws.

Thanks Jim, they are certainly cheap compared to others I've seen. I've bookmarked the page for future use.

I upgraded my F14 with one of these to control a crane.

Very cheap an small but not comparable to a normal gimal  :}
Okay for the crane, but I wouldn´t want to steer a model with it.

If you search for "joystick" there are more.
Maybe better but no idea, 2 cables seem not enough  {:-{
