Some kind soul please recommend a piture resizer that I can make work.

i use the ..paint program on the computer pritty easy :-))

Try this one, It's free, gives you right click resize. I only normally use it on individual frames but believe you can batch edit.

I second that - have used it for years. Gives you a right click option in Windows Explorer. You can resize a batch of photos by selecting them in WE before the right click.

I still use the XP powertoys one - it still works on win 10, and is very similar to the above mentioned one.

Typing "resize photo" into the search box (towards the top right of this page) will show how many times the question gets asked, and provide the fullest possible set of answers.

I've used PIX resizer for years, but don't download it from Softonic, this download site installs all sorts of malware alongside the file download. Last time I slipped up and used Softtonic it took me 3 days to remove all the crap, Get it from another download site instead.

Very True! There has been many updates and relaunches of Microsoft Office, NONE of them are easier to use than the previous version!
The software people seem to forget there are always New User out here.

Things are just altered to give an illusion of 'progress'. Too much stuff that nobody ever uses gets bolted on and obscures the mainstream functions which were perfectly OK back in 2003. I doubt if the average user makes use of a fraction of the features of the product. Same goes for Excel.

True. I have had new versions of Photoshop since its first inception for processing photographs. I stopped at Photoshop CS5. I found that no matter how many upgrades I paid for, I only ever used the same dozen processess as I ever had done. All the add on bells and whistles like 3d etc, were just program bloat.
I'm just undertaking the same thing with Corel draw. How are new users ever expected to learn everything that they stick in the programs?

Well I would not call myself a computer expert but I have been around them since you had to load a program from a cassette each time at home, whilst at work the computer filled a room with the floor area of the average 3 bed house. Mind you it's replacement quite a few years down the line was the size of an office desk and did a much much better job. But this problem with program bloat has gone on almost since somebody decided to call it a program. The number that I suspect most people only use at the maximum 10% of its capability must be in their thousands. How many have you given up on because after so many updates or improvements it has become pretty much impossible to use for the original reason you acquired it, and if you paid for it the price has gone up to cover all those aspects that you never use. Is it any wonder that some spend so much time looking for a simple, maybe free, program that only does what they want and not a zillion offshoots.

The almost unlimited memory available means that there is little pressure to program really efficiently and encourages the addition of nice but not necessary features. I wrote a couple of games for the 48k Spectrum in the 1980s and found myself scrabbling over individual bytes to get the program into the available RAM. It really did give you an incentive to find clever efficient solutions rather than adopt the 'this'll do' approach.
On the equipment side there have been vast improvements of course.

I'd suggest & I use irfanview.com excelent & does batch working including resize & quite a few other things, all for nowt.
