Yep.

Oh wait, I'm 4000ft up a mountain in Spain %) %%

But my heart goes out to those caught up in it. We were mildly effected back in 2007 but for many in my home town of Hull the misery of those floods lasted in some cases up to 5 years before the insurance wrangles were finally settled.

The Northwest has borne the brunt again.
The story is the flood defences put in place after the last lot
are now holding the floodwater in. >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(

I know it's not the same Northwest, but stop sharing...  :o
3.5 inches in about 12 hours, a bit of a break,... and we have two more storms inbound

Cumbria had nearly 14 inches of rain in 24 hours - unheard of and a waterfall dormant for nearly a century has started to flow again. Not your normal storm!!

Highland Region, Scotland;   River Spey flood releases a few thousand fish-farm salmon to the North Sea, mobile home park inundated, families rescued, Old Bridge Inn closed <:(.  30 mile detour for workers on Cairngorm Mountain ski area ...no snow, too warm.  Drains erupted with sewage >>:-(.   All together not as bad as North of England.  Sunshine today but snow forecast later. :-))
