Title: Paperweight.
Post by: eddiesolo on January 15, 2016, 12:04:48 pm
I picked up this prop paperweight with a 1932 three pence coin inserted into the top. The base is all brass and it has a wooden underbase.

I was told that it could have been made from scrap brass as a commemorative piece from H.M.S Emperor Of India.

She as laid down in 1912 and ended up a gunnery target in 1931, she was refloated and scrapped in 1932.

If true then that is great if not, who cares, still a nice object.
