Title: Bespoke vinyl decals
Post by: inertia on January 16, 2016, 02:14:09 pm
I've tried to find a thread on here which gave a satisfactory answer to this but I've now given up!
I need a gold and white nameplate to be printed onto clear vinyl so that I can affix it to a dark blue background. Waterslide transfers just disappear against the darker ground, and I can't seem to find a White ink cartridge for the trusty old Casio inkjet... The nameplate is approx 40mm x 26mm. I have the artwork in various file formats (CDR, PDF and JPG).
Has anyone a link to a supplier who can do this reliably without requiring one of my limbs in payment? I did try Barry's a while ago but Sarah never did get back to me.

BTW I must emphasise that cutting out the letters separately is a non-starter - the font is an italicised version of Script MT Bold, with letters no more than 10mm high (and that's the capitals).

I have used these before: http://www.vinylletteringonline.co.uk/

I didnt use white in colour so I dont know if they do it, but, they were good and quick for what I needed.

Goos luck.

Think Essex 2  has some expertise in this kind of decal making.

Thanks, Ned. I'm sure E2V will stick his head above the parapet if he really wants to! Ian's suggested business looks like they only do the cut-letter type which, as I said, isn't feasible for this design.

Dave,
I have ordered and received a boat name : el diablo: in a fancy script from them and it came as a one piece vinyl..well. two of them as I wanted two names, not as individual letters.

Go to the home page, at the bottom there is a link to create your own vinyl lettering which brings you to this: http://www.vinylletteringonline.co.uk/lettering-designer (http://www.vinylletteringonline.co.uk/lettering-designer)
