Post by: Robin smith on February 11, 2016, 09:45:24 pm
I am in process of building the techrak on my Engel 7C going ok but have the TAES  which has a pipe going somewhere where it connects to I don't know? I have asked Engel and got no answer can anyone help me please.

I am also struggling to get the pipes over the brass connectors. Tried everything, warm it in water little bit of fairy etc

Thanks

Hi.
Is it a thin clear silicone tube you are refering to ?.
If so it could be the tube for the pressure switch a round and black silver thing..it goes from that  to the outside of the sub
To regulate depth it also measures pressure inside the boat so if over pressure or you get an air leak it stops you diving.
A picture would help enormously.
Regars sub.

The thin silicon pipe goes onto the pressure switch brass tube you should have a piece of brass tube the same diameter as the piece on the switch the brass tube that is with the kit goes through the hull and is appoxied in place the tube is then fitted to this. the operation is as Sub driver`s post in part, the switch will prevent you from diving below about 1.5 meters.
