Title: Smit Rotterdam (billings) hull
Post by: richyh66 on March 28, 2016, 06:27:17 pm
Hello All,
looking for a bit of help, couple of years ago I got a semi built smit Rotterdam from ebay,
theu must of sickened of the planking as it is half done, port side only,
as you can guess the keel is twisted, ive looked at removing the planking and putting the keel in a jig

my other though was a GRP hull ??? anybody know of a manufacturer

any thoughts greatly appreciated

thanks
Richy

Hi Richie

Found this site some time last year, they do tug hulls to order.   WWW.scheepsmodelbouw.be click on the tugs part on the left of the page, might have what you want

Regards

excellent, just been on the site and they do a 1:78th,

don't open till april though :((, looks like plan B will be getting used if not too expensive, cut superstructure away from ribs and planking and transplant onto grp hull

shouldn't be too expensive

thanks again

hello all, received GRP hull today from belgium, :-))  excellent build quality, straight as a dye and a good deep rigid casting

highly recommended O0
