Title: Airbrush spray booth
Post by: Captain fizz on April 06, 2016, 04:20:42 pm
I have been messing about with cardboard boxes and thinking about making a filtered spray booth for airbrushing/rattle canning small parts for a while now.
I have looked around for commercially produced units, but they all seemed a bit pricey.
The other day I was mooching around the Cornwall models sight when I came across a unit for £85 so I ordered one.
It arrived today.
What a great bit of kit. It all folds out to form a stable unit and even comes with a turntable and 100mm hose with a fitting which allows you to wedge it in the window.
In use, the fan is just a little louder than my Iwata compressor but not enough to be wearing.
It is about five times cheaper than anything else I have found.

I put it to the test this afternoon whilst spraying some winch components.
It really does do the job well, a great purchase and the bonus of the badly translated instruction manual five hours of entertainment {-)
