I saw this today and thought it was an interesting and sad video to watch.

Enraged is perhaps too strong a word but certainly annoyed. Not for the loss of the shipping but the damage to the environment.
The U.S made great song and dance over the BP oil spillage in the gulf and that company was fined millions for it, due to the damage in the environment.
Then you see this sort of thing. Its not only this, their government is at fault as well. The Mythbusters programme often uses Alameda in California for their tests. This is a huge sprawling dockland and airport that the military no longer uses, its just left to decay. They used a whole military housing estate, where the houses have just been left to fall down.
It seems to me that the U.S has two rules, if it originates at home its ok to defile the environment, if its a foreign company responsible sue them for every penny.

Maybe the ship should be renamed "Americas Arrogance"
-
Some very good piloting skills of the drone there comes quite close to stay wires etc. always amazes me how nature will reclaim the materials used even steel eventually.
-
Good footage of "America's Spirit" rudder, assisted by two tugs.
-
'Ashes to Ashes - Rust to Rust'! O0
Reminds me of Harry Pounds scrapping yard at Portsmouth Harbour, closely visible for many years from the A27 and fascinating to see everything from tanks to submarines - and their torpedoes(presumably inert?), all piled on top of each other.

Pounds had a very early destroyer of pre ww1 vintage there for a number of years but scrapped it.

I think that you've hit the nail on the head there Brian!

Really interesting footage! I don't think you can really compare this to the deep water horizon mind.
