Title: Quick(ish) setting expoxies

For the last couple of years, I've been a happy user of BSI (Bob Smith Industries) 5 and 15 minute epoxies and their thin and medium cyanoacrylates.  But alas, the couple who've taken over the local model shop seem to have dropped the BSI range from their glues (along with practically everything else I ever bought in the place  %) ).

I know I can get BSI glues online, but they get a bit dear with p 'n' p added on, so can anybody please recommend cheaper equivalents that are readily available online and have a good shelf life?

I use Vitalbond epoxy's and Admiralty Glues Professional Cyanoacrylate from www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk the professional Cyanoacrylate is almost double the price of the standard Cyanoacrylate but is that much better, these glues hold our pride and joy's together so IMO is worth getting the best.  ;)

Zap glues are spot on....5 and 15 min epoxy are darned good

This may sound a bit silly to some but for a lot of jobs I use two part epoxy from poundland. It comes on a card in a twin tube syringe type dispenser with a mixing stick and a plastic spring clamp as well. It has a picture of Tommy Walsh on the box so it must be good!  ok2

Seriously though, it's really good stuff for a quid a time, Takes about 10 minutes to go off but give it a good 24 hours to get fully hard and loose the surface stickiness. Hasn't failed on me yet.

For more serious jobs I have used good old Araldite but it's interesting to hear more suggestions, Can never have enough glue in the stash.  :-))

I have been using Gorilla 5min epoxy lately which seems ok.
It comes in a double syringe.

Hi Guys, just a word of warning, the quicker the epoxy the more brittle it is, got this from Delux web site
