Title: Type 7 c Engeldive
Post by: Robin smith on May 14, 2016, 08:40:45 am
Another problem...

In the instruction manual it says:
Ch 1 rudder left and right
Ch 2 Dive planes bow/aft up/down
Ch 3 speed controller fwd/reverse
Ch 4 speed controller fwd/reverse
Ch 5 piston tank fill empty
Ch 6 piston tank fill empty
Ch 7 piston tank fine trim

I have always on my subs had front and rear planes operating independently now it seems this is operating from the same source ie one goes in one direction and the other the other way?

I have a new F16 not got twin stick but I could obtain.

So I have the two sticks at present push forward both could be throttles, left stick left and right could be rudder. Right stick right and left could be fine trim I suppose, I have two sliders which are better deployed on piston tank fill empty.
Any other ideas..I did think about a 3 position switch somewhere?????

i would use a pitch controller on the aft planes connected to the receiver for power only, and bow dive planes on channel 2.

I would get a mixer for the motor channels. You've got 8 channels on that fc-16 so just put the front hydroplanes separately.

Robin......here is a good place to start reading.................although I believe due to space limitations, smaller more subminiature components may be used in submarine applications.....[pardon the pun]................Derek

Hi
Also for small size mixers ideal for small spaces in submarines check out Mtroniks W and V Tail mixers very easy to use waterproof too and small in size about £15.00  or there abouts they just plug into receiver and servo speedo etc.
