Dunno why but I woke up during the night after dreaming of receivers %%
But it basically went like this..... 2.4ghz TX with two RX's bound to it, like you would if you wanted to put seperate rx's in two models.
This was the crazy bit. Put 2 bound rx's in one boat so they operate together, ie move stick on tx forward and it operates channel 2 on both rx's. Ta da instant 16 channels. But then the little bloke in the head added another and another, instant 32 channels :embarrassed: But he kept adding rx's until he had 128 channels :o
Now thinking about it in broad daylight and wide awake I honestly don't know if it could be done with just 2rx's never mind the amount this little fella added. But is it feasible? Say 2 rx's, channel 2 on the first would operate say the rudder, but channel 2 on the other rx would operate something else.

Yes - and at the same time, every time. So, for example, left rudder would also always turn on the mast lights while right rudder would always lower the anchor winch as well..... Just like having a normal radio but with a Y lead in every Rx socket.
There lies madness! :o

Yes Dave, I wasn't questioning the madness part of it, as you say. I just wanted to know it it was feasible :-)) 'blinking!' expensive way of doing things though compared to a digital multiswitch :} Weird what the subconscious mind dreams about when we are asleep, there was the time when myself and 10 ladies ..............err no we won't go in to that one :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :embarrassed:

It's only feasible in a dream. Trust me.
Now, about those ten ladies............... :o

Even if you could bind multiple live RX, the Tx may become confused as many 2.4Ghz 'spread spectrum' send feedback or telemetry information and the TX many not like to talk to more than one Rx at a time.
Try it and see!

Someone in Canada did it.
The interesting part was that he set up both recievers in bind mode first.
Then turned on the transmitter in bind mode, and both receivers took.
So, I believe he is controlling the boat with one receiver, and a crane on the barge with the second.
For example, one joystick to the boat, and one joystick to the crane. No shared channels.

How can you dream about ten a ladies?

My Speedline Tamar has 3 Rx bound to one transmitter, you just need enough channels and some mixing
Rx A in hull controlling 2 motors, rudder, bowthruster, and stern door.
Rx B in cabin controlling main mast, aerials, radar and lights
Rx C on slipway controlling boat release servos and recovery winch

Even if it could be done I reckon you'd need a brain like Stephen Hawking to know what they were all doing.
Ned, next time they pop up in a dream I'll send 9 of them over to you! Dunno why it happens, maybe an age thing, remembering when I was younger, much much younger :}
