The comment about 'sending shivers down the spines of NATO Admirals' made me laugh out loud!

I recall reading a report of the one-time pride of the Soviet Navy, the aircraft-carrier 'KIEV' which they paraded through the English Channel in heavy weather (60's or 70s?), surrounded by NATO vessels, who were astounded at the state of the rusted hull and upperworks with aircraft sliding around the flight deck having broken from their fastenings. I think the shivering was down other spines
