-
has anyone thats build one got working trasem door if so please could you help with the workings many thanks ste
-
I'm building one, don't expect it to be finished anytime soon.
-
Yes almost complete - got it from Charlie up in Wick - Had to modify the vessel to enlarge the fins so that the prop did not touch the bottom - great nephews almost demolished the super structure when sailing it in Golant Pill - now in need of further repair - great kit but you make it what you want = regret I m not a purist so it is rather amateur and but I enjoyed it
-
I also have one in dry dock...enjoying the build...but taking my time with it.
-
Oops - did not read the original post - mine is the baby Tamar - not the large one - still enjoyed making it - hence the enlarging of the fins as it is supplied with on central shaft - scale approx 1.500 perhaps
-
I have order one, but they have no etched brass. Should come in March.
Waiting for delivery.

I built one probably 12 to 15 years ago and only sailed it once.
I eventually gave it to Padstow Lifeboat Station where it is on display. Motors, electrics and radio gear were removed.
