Rummaging through my old files last night I came across this Pass which reminded me of a great day I had at Portsmouth when, just by chance, I asked a passing US Navy officer when the USS Nimitz was leaving the port. After a chat he invited me on board and took the time to give me a personal tour of the entire ship, at that time the worlds largest warship. I even got to sit in the Captains chair on the bridge and a visit to the Combat Centre! A real happy memory of a special day for me. Photo shows the ship leaving the Solent the following day. There must be many similar memories out there, so why not show and share them with us? :-)) (Ship/boat/sea/models related)
