Title: WW1 tank - almost scratch built!
Post by: Ship Worm on October 19, 2016, 03:34:27 pm
The chassis is loosely designed around a Tiger tank but there the similarity ends. I have a side paddle wheeler and wanted something else to control with the Tx, so two tracks do the job. Scares the hell out of the ducks on the pond when the guns fire though.

Another view before it was finished, the side pods are removable to service the charges for the guns. Had to get another set of tracks though as the original set for the Tiger were not long enough. If you go ahead I have loads of spare links left over.

That's pretty darn ingenious.. one of those "Why didn't I ever think of that?" things.

Nice model, and well done. Any more pictures?

Another view of the 'modifications' and a picture of the 'real' Hyacinth apparently trying to get in the trenches out of the line of fire. Look carefully in the bucket on the front, there is a set of tools in it!
